As you've noticed, Chasing Rainbows has gotten into the holiday spirit. <.g> Snow now, Christmas and Chanukah coming soon. (If you celebrate Winter Solstice or Kwanzaa and want to see something for those holidays here, e-mail me and I'll do my best. LOL)
In case you're curious, here's my reasonings for each of the songs you'll find on my page this season.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Lucy and Linus
Every Christmas, Willow sneaks over to Xander's to watch "A Charlie Brown Christmas" and see Xander do the Snoopy Dance. When Xander was recently split into two people, he used this dance to convince Willow and the viewers he was really himself.
Dawson's Creek: Santa Claus is Coming to Town
Think about the words of this song, folks. If "naughty and nice" don't describe the town of Capeside, I'm not sure what do!
General Hospital: Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas
This may be before some reader's time! Back in about 1996, Ned and Lois were separated on Christmas. He sang this song over the phone to her, and it fast became my favorite version.
The X-Files: Joy to the World
Just a little play on words! Back in the fifth season, Scully cuddled Mulder on her lap in a forrest and sang Three Dog Night's "Joy to the World." Not the same song, but it IS the same title!
Remember WENN: Winter Wonderland
During "Christmas on the Airwaves," Maple and Gil Martin sang a beautiful bluesy, jazzy duet of this song. I've never found a version I love more.
All About Rina: White Christmas
Thank my mother for this one. It's not Christmas for me until I watch this movie and hear Bing sing this song. We watch it together every year.
This page: Christmastime is Here
Pretty self-explanatory, I think.
Index: Nutcracker Suite
I think this is just *the* Christmas ballet, and it deserved a chance in the sun. : )
Great big thank you to Rodney Walker for allowing me to borrow his falling snow background!
